You have probably heard that stress levels are at an all time high for college students, but what do we really mean when we say we’re “stressed?” Is it always bad? College students tend to encounter typical stressors that are unique to this age group and life experience. In this workshop, we will talk about some of the main stressors that college students face, how stress affects the body, and what happens if stress is left unchecked. We will learn ways to recognize the signs and symptoms of stress and what you can do about it. We will also focus on one strategy, of many, that has been proven to reduce stress — Mindfulness Meditation. When you leave, you will have a few more tools in your toolbox to Stress Less For Success.
Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat, blanket, or towel as we will be practicing Mindfulness Meditation.
