Workshops Led by Accomplished Media Professionals (Click Here for Registration)

Each of the four media professionals will offer two independent sections of a workshop, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. In each session, professionals will outline the elements needed for effective communication, by using either storytelling, journalism, photography, or film. Students will then practice creating and editing their own story in the given medium before presenting their story to the rest of the group.

PitE has made 8 workshop sessions available. The afternoon session is not a continuation of the morning session, so students need not register for both morning and afternoon session. Current room numbers are subject to change. Students can only register to attend one workshop, though they can indicate a second choice upon registration, should space become available.  PitE is now able to offer both a morning and afternoon session for the radio journalism workshop, which will be held in the NPR studios; transportation will also be available to and from the studios for both sessions.

Each session will be capped at 15 students to allow for individual guidance and feedback. Registration is required to attend a workshop.

All workshops are open to U-M students, though priority will be given to PitE students through January 27th. Spots are not guaranteed to any student until they receive a confirmation email, confirming the time and location of the workshop.

Students can register here for the workshop.
