On Friday, February 8th, 2013, the Program in the Environment (PitE) will host four media professionals to lead arts media workshops. During these workshops, students will learn how to use radio journalism, photography, filmmaking, or story telling as a method of communication and means for creating environmental change.
Through hands-on exercises and projects, students in these workshops will bring environmental issues to life in ways not achieved in the classroom or lab. Never before has PitE assembled a team of environmental professionals to campus all on one day!
Each instructor will offer a morning and an afternoon workshop (the radio journalism workshop will only be offered in the afternoon). These workshops are open to all U-M students, though priority will be given to PitE students through early registration.
Meet our workshop instructors:

--Brian Short* Ann Arbor StorySLAM Producer, The Moth -- Ann Arbor MI (Storytelling Workshop)
