Comparative Politics Workshops
Comparative Government and Politics
The Comparative Politics Workshop (CPW) is a forum for graduate students in political science to present work in progress. CPS also hosts a series of outside speakers throughout the year. The workshop typically discusses two student papers each week, with a student and faculty discussant taking the lead. All participants are expected to read and offer feedback on the papers presented and attend all sessions of the workshops, even when not presenting. Students also serve as discussants for the outside speakers, and have an opportunity to meet the outside speakers throughout the year. The workshop meets Fridays, 1:30-3:30PM in the Prefunction Room on the 5th floor of Haven Hall. If there is an outside speaker, the meeting moves to noon on Friday. Anna Grzymala-Busse is the faculty contact for the series.
