ELIGIBILITY REQUREMENTS
To be eligible for appointment, students must be making satisfactory progress toward the degree, as determined by their home unit. Ph.D. students will be limited to ten terms of teaching and master students to four terms of teaching.
All first-term GSI appointments in Political Science will require concurrent enrollment in PS 993.
All GSIs are required to participate in the course evaluation process. The chair or associate chair will review evaluations of GSIs. If significant problems are apparent, they will make recommendations for remedying these. Subsequent appointment as a GSI will depend upon demonstrable effort to improve teaching skills and evidence of progress.

An applicant denied employment may request an in-person interview with the hiring agent to be scheduled at a mutually agreed upon time. In the event an Employee does not receive his or her preferred assignment, he or she can request a written explanation or an in-person interview with the hiring agent.
