Christopher Skeaff's main areas of research are the history of political thought, with a focus on the early modern period, and contemporary political theory, as practiced in both Anglo-American and Continental modes. His work deals with a range of themes and concepts, such as political freedom and domination, the place of judgment in democratic politics, the nature of sovereignty, and the relation between religion and politics. Christopher is currently completing a book manuscript on Spinoza and political judgment, and is beginning a new research project on the critique and crisis of the university in early modernity.
