Hyeonho is a Ph.D. candidate in Political science. His research mainly focuses on integrating behavioral theories at the micro level and institutional theories at the macro level to further a comprehensive understanding of variations of political behaviors across countries. Most of his work takes an interdisciplinary approach to the study of how political, economic, social and psychological factors interact and are mutually reinforced in the realm of politics. To this purpose, he seeks to employ multiple methods including experiments, case study, statistical analysis and formal modeling, to test the hypotheses. Particularly, Hyeonho's recent dissertation research focuses on a long standing puzzle about partisanship and its impact on political behaviors. Prior to coming to Michigan, he led and participated in a number of nationwide civic activism as well as academic activities voluntarily organized by college students in South Korea.
