• About

  Mi Hwa's research focuses on world politics and international law, with a particular interest in international human rights agreements (HRAs).  In her dissertation, she examines how international law with the weakest bite works in a society where law is not binding.  Her current project uncovers the theoretical mechanisms that link domestic and international sources of commitment to HRAs to decoupling effects of this commitment in dictatorships over time.
