Tim's primary research interests are in public opinion, political psychology, and experimentation, with a particular focus on how unconscious processes influence perception and behavior.  His largest research project explores moral intuitions and their connection to emotions and political communication.  He is also interested in the role of race and stereotypes in public opinion.  From 2006 to 2007, Tim served as a research assistant focusing on election administration and the Help America Vote Act for the AEI-Brookings Election Reform Project.
