The Department of Political Science offers a rich and diverse graduate curriculum in law and politics, which includes constitutional theory, philosophy of law, judicial politics, American constitutional development, and law and society. Law and politics is an especially expansive and methodologically diverse subfield, and faculty in this area both welcome and practice research that cuts across subfields and disciplines. Students are able to forge intellectual connections with faculty and programs outside the department, while also benefitting from the wide-ranging interests in law held by faculty members in other subfields.
