The concentration in Philosophy, Politics & Economics (PPE) aims to offer rigorous, integrated, interdisciplinary training for students who are interested in exploring political economy. While most courses in the concentration will be courses in philosophy, political science, and economics, specially designated PPE courses are designed to integrate perspectives. PPE 300: Introduction to Political Economy, is the gateway to the concentration and required of all concentrators. It is also open to any other students interested in exploring the concentration before they apply. PPE 400 is the Senior Seminar required of non-Honors concentrators. Learn more about these courses at the PPE Core Courses link. Learn about Honors at the Honors link. Students may tailor the PPE concentration to their interests through the Theme Requirement. Courses across the university or from study abroad may be used to satisfy the Theme Requirement for PPE, subject to the approval of a PPE advisor.
