Event Information
Would you like to discover new ways to keep up with what's being published in your field, or by certain authors or in certain journals?
You're invited to a special workshop just for Psych grad students that will teach you 1) how to create emailed alerts in PsycINFO and Web of Science using a variety of parameters, and 2) set up and use Google Reader to keep up via blogs, automated web and news searches, and more.
What: Staying Alert: Keeping up with research in your field - Hands-on workshop
When: Thursday, July 5, 2:00 - 3:30 pm
Where: B245 East Hall
Come with some ideas of things you'd like to track, and you'll be all set by the end of the session! If you can 't make the session, rest assured that I'll send out a link to a research guide (currently under construction) with similar information.
Please respond to this email to sign up for the workshop, and feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Remember, I have office hours every week in EH and in the LS&A building -- the hours are always listed on the Psychology and Sociology department websites. I'd be happy to meet with you individually at any time.
Best wishes,
Susan Turkel
