Research Interests
My research investigates the psychological and neural processes involved in the interactions among emotion, cognition, and motivation using behavioral, individual difference, autonomic, and fMRI methods. Broadly speaking, my research focuses on affective and social neuroscience, neuroeconomics, emotion and emotion regulation, implicit attitudes and motives, and affective influences on risk taking and decision making. Currently, I am working on a series of fMRI studies to investigate the neural processes involved in empathy and affiliative behavior, product choices, risk taking, and investment decisions with a specific focus on the role of emotion in these processes in both healthy and depressed populations.
