Research and Teaching Interests
My research examines how power, social identities, and cultural values affect individuals. Specifically, I ask the following questions: (a) how does power affect the way people see themselves and others? (b) how do individuals manage conflicts from being members of multiple social groups--such as Asian and American, or women and business? (c) how do cultures and groups reflect their values, and how do these values affect the individual members of these collectives?
