Research and Teaching Interests

Olson is also the Richard W. Pew Collegiate Professor of Human Computer Interaction, professor in the School of Information, and professor in the Michigan Business School.

Research interests include cognitive psychology, human-computer interaction; learning and performance of complex tasks; group problem solving with and without technology support.

In April 2001, Olson was inducted as one of seven charter members of the CHI Academy of the Association for Computing Machinery, a group recognized by their peers for significant contributions to the field of human-computer interaction.
