Assays Done and Pricing

The CAF lab is equipped to measure any hormone for which there is a commercially-available assay kit, please contact us if you are not sure about a particular hormone. The standard pricing for any assay includes three costs: base cost for each sample (which accounts for labor and basic supply costs), the cost of the reagents to run the assay, and the shipping costs for those reagents. Available assays and approximately pricing per sample are described below.

1 Reagent costs are based on an optimal estimate of kit usage. All commercial kits are designed to run a specific number of samples. For an accurate quote on cost per sample for your study please email caf.lab@umich.edu.


2 Shipping costs for reagents are not included, but usually range between $50-$200 per order, depending on the number of shipments, kits and the type of reagents (e.g. radioactivity) shipped.
