The RC Curriculum

“For me - and I daresay for many of my colleagues - the RC has been a continuing, life-long education.”

—Charlie Bright, RC Director and Professor of History and Social Science

The RC curriculum offers unique course offerings that are interdisciplinary in their approach, focus on building strong writing and communication skills, explore a diversity of creative arts, and promote advanced foreign language proficiency as well as intercultural awareness. All RC students must meet these additional requirements in order to graduate from the Residential College.

Our concentrations and minors, foreign languages and creative arts programs utilize innovative teaching and learning methods and explore areas that fall outside of traditional programs.

RC programs tend to be more flexible and have fewer external requirements than other academic majors in the LS & A.
