  • About

Craig Regester was the Alumni-Development Coordinator for Residential College from October 2002-August, 2008. Presently, he is the Associate Director of the newly established UM urban academic immersion program, Semester in Detroit. The program will bring 20-25 undergraduates to live, learn and intern in the City of Detroit every winter semester starting in January, 2009.

Before his work at the University of Michigan, Craig worked for several community organizations in Detroit including Alternatives For Girls, the Guild Law Center, Latin Americans for Social and Economic Development, and SEMCOSH. For the past five years, Craig has done contractual development work (mainly grant-writing) for over a dozen Detroit-based community organizations.

Craig lives with his wife, Vickie, a social worker, and his two children, Sam (6) and Sophia (1) in southwest Detroit in the Hubbard Farms historic district. When he’s not working or hanging out with his family, he plays the drums and guitar, attempts softball and tennis, and tries to stay current with the progessive political blogosphere.
