The Spanish concentration gives you the opportunity to develop language proficiency while expanding your knowledge of Hispanic cultures and literature. Many Spanish concentrators combine their studies with fields such as political science (pre-law), pre-med, American culture, organizational studies, communications, psychology, and economics.

The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures is pleased to announce the reinstatement of the Spanish minor.  This revised undergraduate program provides students an understanding of Hispanic literature and culture, as well as the opportunity to improve their skills in speaking, listening, and writing at a high linguistic and intellectual level.

Students who entered the university in Fall 2006 or later may declare a Spanish minor under the revised requirements.  Students who entered the university before Fall 2006 may declare and complete the Spanish minor in its previous form.  Please use the links below to view the prerequisites and requirements for both Spanish Minor programs.

New enrollment information for upper level Spanish courses is now available.
