Professional Work and Publications
As Elementary Spanish Program Director, I am responsible for the supervision of all aspects of the elementary Spanish curriculum, and the training and coordination of instructional staff in the language program. I am also the department's liaison to the School of Education in my role as advisor of the students seeking their Teaching Certification in Spanish.

Courses I normally teach are: Foreign Language Teaching Methodology (Romance Linguistics 528), Advanced Syntax (Spanish 411), Teaching Spanish (Spanish 413), Spanish Phonetics (Spanish 410), Advanced Composition and Style (Spanish 310), and all courses in the elementary sequence (Spanish 101-232).

My interests center around foreign/second language pedagogy and acquisition, with special emphasis in the development of pedagogical materials for the foreign language classroom. I am currently writing a content-based intermediate Spanish textbook for college-level students.
