he Department of Romance Languages and Literatures
at the University of Michigan publishes two academic journals, Michigan Romance Studies, and the graduate student journal, Tiresias.
Tiresias is a new on-line publication of academic and creative work run by graduate students of the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at the University of Michigan. They welcome submissions in English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Catalan and Galician in the form of scholarly analysis, reviews, creative writing, and visual art. Tiresias encourages interdisciplinary submissions including (but not limited to) cultural studies, literature, anthropology, sociology, psychology, history, philosophy, art history, film, and political science. Graduate students, faculty, independent scholars, and activists are invited to contribute. For more infromation regarding the call for papers, or any particular question, please send an email to

Michigan Romance Studies focuses on critical, cultural, and literary
subjects of interest in the various Romance languages. The series is currently
inactive, but past issues are still available.
