Contemporary Colombian cultural production; violence and memory; neoliberalism and representation; archive, testimony and discursive narratives
My work considers how different forms of cultural production engage with the question of historical memory and the corporalization of violence within the shifting political and economic discourses in the last decade in Colombia. It is a project preoccupied in thinking about the relationship between politics, violence, and representation through the articulations and figurations seen in art, literature and film. My research aims to explore how narrative voids produce apertures, whereby artists, writers, and filmmakers contribute to a radical shift in the neoliberal production of memory, pressing beyond testimony and the archive.
