Tensions of memory in post-dictatorship Argentina, and how the act of making-memory is similar to Colombia, whose civilian experience is guided by paramilitary and left-wing guerrilla history.

  • About

I am interested the tensions of memory in post-dictatorship Argentina, and how the act of making-memory (either through performance, museums or literature) is similar to Colombia, whose civilian experience is guided by paramilitary and left-wing guerrilla history. I am fascinated in tracing violence as an object, from formal dictatorship to the "hybrid regimes" I observe in Colombia and other places in Latin America where the intersection of democracy and dictatorship are formed out of globalization, neoliberal politics and black markets.
