This course focuses on the nature and behavior of the Earth's atmosphere. Daily weather conditions are related to atmospheric processes and characteristics. Forces and processes which determine the weather are studied. Severe weather hazards, such as thunderstorms, tornadoes, hurricanes, and winter snowstorms, are illustrated using satellite and Doppler radar imagery.
