CSP 100. CSP Freshpersons Readings Seminar.

The CSP Readings Seminar gives entering first-year students exposure to the disciplines, readings and subfields in LSA: the Humanities, the Social Sciences and the Natural Sciences. It provides students with the opportunity to see a problem analyzed and evaluated from a variety of scholarly perspectives. The course also provides an opportunity to learn and adapt methods to be successful in school.

CSP 105. Reading and Writing Seminar: Insiders/Outsiders.

Reading and writing seminar that examines the causes and effects of discrimination in a pluralistic society. Course Readings are be 20th century authors: American, African American, Native American, Asian, Puerto Rican and Mexican American. Students examine ways in which ethnicity, race, and racism affect communities, educational institutions, families, and interpersonal relationships.
