An historical survey of Polish literature from its origin to 1900. This course is designed as an introduction for the non-specialist with a serious interest in Polish culture and literature. A study of the major trends in modern Polish literature from 1900 to present, with examination of representative works by nineteenth and twentieth century Polish writers.
