ECB 100. Writing Practicum.
I. (2). (Excl). Offered mandatory credit/no credit. (TUTORIAL). Any combination of ECB 100-105 may be elected for a total of four credits.
ECB Writing Practicum is for all students who received a practicum placement on their writing assessment or for students who choose the course as preparation for college writing. Class enrollment is limited to eighteen students. Classes meet two hours per week and each student receives an additional half hour of individual instruction every other week during conferences with their instructor.

ECB 300. Seminar in Peer Tutoring.
Permission of instructor. (3). (Excl).
This writing-intensive seminar provides foundations in theories of composition and collaborative learning to prepare students to become peer writing tutors for LS&A students in the peer tutoring center. Readings in composition theory accompany readings in theory and practice of students' major fields of study. Students meet weekly to discuss their sessions in the peer tutoring center.
ECB 301. Directed Peer Tutoring.
Sweetland 300 and permission of instructor. (1-3). (Excl). Offered mandatory credit/no credit. (EXPERIENTIAL).
Provides the opportunity for those juniors and seniors who have satisfied the requirements of the ECB Seminar in Peer Tutoring to aid students working on writing for LSA courses. Students meet weekly to discuss their sessions in the peer tutoring center.
