Emphasis is placed first on reading Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian literature and secondly on developing increased competence in speaking and writing. Extensive use of audio and video materials.

This course is designed to provide an opportunity for extensive reading in Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian of a variety of materials at an advanced level. The subject matter covered is dependent upon the preparation and interest of the individual student. Texts range from belles-lettres, short stories and novels, to journalism and history.
