A review of hormone and neurotransmitter receptors as well as the cellular effectors that are regulated by receptor activation. Oncogene products as signal transducers and the interaction of the known signaling pathways will be covered. The various techniques used to study signal transduction as well as important experimental strategies employing these techniques will also be presented.
