EECS 427. VLSI (Very Large Scale Integrated) Design I.

This course introduces mask level integrated circuit design. This is a senior/graduate level project-oriented course in
which the students design a simple 16-bit, 2-stage pipelined RISC microprocessor. Weekly CAD assignments will be in
the form of design of the cells for the processor. Extensive use of commercial CAD tools is required. Within constraints
of available funding, eligible projects will be fabricated through the MOSIS service.
