This course will present examples of environmental threats and policies in Central European countries. It will explore the nature of the contamination source, distribution of contaminants, national regulations, nature of the exposed population, and spatial and demographic characteristics of the region. Environmental impact assessments as well as human health risk assessment procedures will also be presented.
