432/Urban Planning 532. Sustainable Environments: International Perspectives. (3). (Excl).
This course is an inquiry into alternative views of the environment that have been used to find value in nature, and to draw sustenance, wealth, and power from nature. The failures and conflicts that abound in these efforts have accumulated to a degree that they now pose global threats. We seek pragmatic approaches for solutions to these problems. (Nystuen)
