Robert Rayher Lecturer III since 1992.
M.A.H. (Cinema & English) SUNY Buffalo, 1984.

My primary creative focus since 1993 has been screenwriting. From the end of the '70's through the early '90's, I produced and presented experimental films and videos. I've had stints in the motion picture industry and with independent film productions.
My films and tapes have been screened widely in North America, and occasionally in Europe and Asia. A number of my titles are available from the Canadian Filmmakers' Distribution Center (cfmdc@interlog.com). Grants for filmmaking include NEA Regional Fellowships ('88 & '92) and support from The National Film Board of Canada ('83-'85).
Selected screenings:
Film Forum (L.A.)(1992); Cal Arts (1992); San Francisco Cinematheque (1992); 17th Festival of Illinois Film and Video Artists, LEAVINGS Honorable Mention, Documentary Category (1992); "Feed Back," Cable Channel 19, Chicago, co-curated by NAME and The Center for New T.V. (Cablecast 1992); Chicago Filmmakers (1992); Berks Filmmakers, Reading PA. (1992); Ann Arbor Film Festival, LEAVINGS (1992); University of Georgia, Athens (1992); Film Center, School of Art Institute of Chicago (1991); The Collective for Living Cinema (NYC)(1986); "No-TV" Visual Studies Workshop, cablecast (1986); Hallwalls, Buffalo N.Y. (1986); Millennium Film Workshop (NYC)(1980 & 81); London Filmmakers' Coop (1981).
My current primary assignment is in Motion Picture production (F/V 300 and 400) and our survey of production (Motion Picture, TV and Video F/V 200). I have also taught courses in Video Art and the History of the Avant-Garde Film.
