Studio C is approximately 42 feet wide, 59 feet long and 20 feet in height. It has a harlequin floor that is suited to smooth camera movement, a full lighting grid at 16 feet with an Electronic Theater Controls Ion control console. 

The set area is divided into three adjacent rooms with a fixed back wall and two movable side walls. The side walls can be configured with doors, windows, solids or archways between the rooms. There is about 10 feet between the back and sides of the sets and the studio walls for background lighting effects. The first set is a 12’ D x 14’W living room with a stairway and exterior door. The middle set is 12’D x 9.5’W with a window in the back wall. It can also be used to expand the other sets by removing the side walls. The third set is 12’D x 12.5’W with double windows in the back wall.

This studio is primarily used for single camera style, narrative productions.  It can also support both live switched and multi-camera recorded production through the adjacent TV control room.  

The studio has a Sony F3, Super-35, CineAlta camera equipped with a Cooke 20-100mm T3.1 lens, Arriflex bridge plate, follow focus, 6x6 matte box, and Microforce/Haden zoom control.  It can record a variety of HD video formats including XDCAM, ProRes HQ, and uncompressed RGB. The recording curve can be set to several preset and customized looks including S-Log which extents it’s dynamic range to 14 stops. 

Camera support includes a Movietech crab dolly with an electric pedestal, combination pneumatic/track wheels and 36 feet steel track.  Alternately, the camera can be mounted on a standard tripod with a Sachtler, Studio 2, fluid head.

The studio is equipped with a wide variety of lighting equipment including 150 watt to 5,000 watt Fresnel spotlights, KinoFlo 2x4 and 4x4 fluorescent soft lights, and three HMI Fresnel lights. Grip equipment includes a large assortment of light stands, C-stands, flags, scrims and gels.
