The Peter and Barbara Benedek Award for Best Screenplay

The Department of Screen Arts & Cultures is now accepting applications for full-length screenplays (90 to 110 pages) for the Peter and Barbara Benedek Award for Best Screenplay. Applicants must have taken a U-M SAC screenwriting course.  The winning screenplay will receive $2,500.

To apply:

(a) Submit two copies of the work, no longer than 110 pages in length, in standard three-hole folio binding.

(b) Your name may NOT appear on the work.

(c) One submission per student. Works will not be returned.

(d) Submit with a cover sheet including your name, e-mail address, student ID number, phone number, and address.
