An alumnus of both the University of Michigan (BA-Social Science) and Wayne State University (MA-Teaching) Craig has been a resident of Hubbard Farms in southwest Detroit since 1995. Craig has both direct service and fundraising/development experience with several Detroit community organizations from 1995-2002, including: SOSAD, La Sed Youth Center, Alternatives for Girls, Guild Law Center, and SEMCOSH. In addition, Craig has done development consulting and contractual grant writing with over a dozen Detroit community organizations since 2000.
Previously with U-M, he worked as the Alumni Relations/Development Coordinator for the Residential College from 2002-2008 until beginning his current position as Associate Director for U-M's Semester in Detroit program.
In his capacity as Associate Director, Craig is responsible for administering all aspects of the program, including: recruitment of both students and community partners, managing/supporting the internship process, shaping (w/ faculty director) the academic trajectory of the program, coordinating housing through Wayne State University, publicity, budgeting, communications, and more.
