Midtown Detroit is the fastest developing area in the city. Within its two square miles there are: 11 galleries, 6 museums, 2 radio stations, a symphony orchestra, a bowling alley/music venue, 35+ restaurants, Wayne State University, College for Creative Studies, U-M Detroit Center (where your SiD classes will be!), and more.
From the University Tower apartments (where many of you will live), you’re in screaming distance of Avalon Bakery (Cass & Willis), Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD; Woodward & Garfield). From the two other Wayne State residences (DeRoy and the Towers Suites), you’re only a short walk away from the Detroit Institute of Art (DIA) and restaurants like Wasabi and Good Girls Go To Paris Crepes.
