Below you will find directions for a series of board games that review grocery store items, adjective/noun agreement and the accusative and genitive cases. You can print a copy of the game board by clicking here.

Wersja podstawowa (Basic Version)

1. Roll the dice.

2. Move forward counting out-loud in Polish.

3. Name the item on which you land.

A. If you know the vocabulary word, your turn is over.

B. If you do not know this vocabulary word, move back the number of spaces you rolled + one. Try to name the item you land on. If you do not know this vocabulary word, go to START. Your turn ends.

 

Wersja utrudniona (1)

1. Roll the dice.

2. Move forward counting out-loud in Polish.

3. Name the item on which you land and for a sentence using an adjective that agrees in number and gender with the noun it modifies. The sentence should be of the type: "To jest czarny chleb."

A. If you form a correct sentence using an adjective and noun, your turn is over.

B. If you do not know this vocabulary word or make an error in adjective/noun agreement, move back the number of spaces you rolled + one. Try to name the item you land on and repeat step 3. If you do not know this vocabulary word or make an error in adjective/noun agreement, go to START. Your turn ends.

 

Wersja utrudniona (2)

1. Roll the dice.

2. Move forward counting out-loud in Polish.

3. Then name the item on which you land.

A. If you know the vocabulary word, you must form 2 sentences: One using the word in the accusative case and one in the genitive case. For each correctly formed sentence move forward one space. For each incorrectly formed sentence move back one space. Your turn is over.

B. If you do not know this vocabulary word, move back the number of spaces you rolled + one. Try to name the item you land on. If you do not know this vocabulary word, go to START. Your turn ends.
