Forming the Dative Case of Nouns

The dative singular of masculine nouns is formed by adding the ending -owi to the stem, except for a few, usually monosyllabic words which take the -u ending. Dative singular feminine endings are the same as in the locative case. The dative singular of neuter nouns is formed by adding the ending -u to the stem, except for neuter nouns ending in-um.

Dative plural of all genders is formed by adding the ending -om to the stem.
