Feminine Nouns Ending in Soft Consonants
by
E. Małachowska-Pasek
and E. Wampuszyc
This
group consists of feminine nouns where the stem ends in a
soft consonant
and there is a zero
ending. These nouns take either the ending –e or –i in
the nominative plural. There is no rule for which ending to
choose, except for those nouns that end in ść. For all other
feminine nouns where the stem ends in a soft
consonant and there is a zero
ending you must rely on your instructor or refer to a
good dictionary.
