III. Feminine Nouns Ending in Hardened Consonants

This group consists of feminine nouns where the stem ends in a hardened consonant and there is a zero ending. These nouns take either the ending –e or –y in the nominative plural. Below are listed some common nouns of this category.

A.
noc > noce
twarz > twarze
smycz > smycze
straż > straże
zdobycz > zdobycze

B.
rzecz > rzeczy
mysz > myszy
