Verb Conjugation: -ę, -esz
Group 2: One syllable (or short) verbs

One syllable (or short) verbs drop the -ć from the infinitive and add a -j-. This conjugation pattern also applies to the prefixed forms of these basic verbs (e.g. wypić, zabić, umyć).

pić (to drink)
pi- > pi- + -j- > pij-

1. (ja) pij
2. (ty) pij -esz
3. on pij -e

1. (my) pij -emy
2. (wy) pij -ecie
3. oni pij

Other verbs of this type: żyć (to live), bić (to beat), czuć (to feel, sense), myć (to wash), tyć (to gain weight).
