To apply to our program you will need to submit a portion of your application to the Rackham Graduate School and a portion directly to the Slavic Department. Please print the Application Information document below and follow the instructions carefully to ensure that your application materials reach the correct place. Please also be sure to note that there are differences in requirements for domestic and international applicants.

As well as applying through Rackham Graduate School, all U.S. citizens are required to apply for Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowships (FLAS) to be considered for admission. Application materials are available through the International Institute at:

Please note that the deadline for graduate program applications is January 15, 2010. In order to make certain that your application is considered for acceptance, please ensure that all your application materials reach the appropriate destination by January 7.
