When looking for general academic guidance, assistance with course-specific content, or even help writing a science paper, many students find that the SLC is a great starting place.

Each week, several professional advisors are available at the SLC to work with students on a drop-in basis.

LSA General Academic Advising Visit the LSA Student Advising website for complete information about all of the advising services offered by the LSA Advising Office. For up-to-date advising news, check out Advise Me Weekly.

LSA Pre-Health Programs Academic Advising is available on site each week at the SLC during Fall and Winter terms. Scroll down to view this term's schedule for on site advising at the SLC.

Science Library Research Consultants offer a free, private consultation to help you find information for research papers, projects, and presentations in the science disciplines (ie. astronomy, biology, chemistry, geology, mathematics, natural resources, physics, and statistics). This service is available at the Shapiro Science Library located on the second and third floors of the Shapiro Undergraduate Library.  For more information about the consulting services offered in the Library, check out the Science Library Research Consultants page. For further information about all Science Library services, visit the Shapiro Science Library website.

Geological Sciences Tutoring
Sigma Gamma Epsilon, the Earth Science honors society, offers tutoring for courses up to the 300-level in Geological Sciences.

Graduate Student Instructors (GSIs), who are affiliated with several introductory science courses, hold weekly office hours in the SLC. During office hours, GSIs are available to provide assistance to any science student. For further information or to view the schedule for the current term, visit the GSI Office Hours page.

Tutoring, although not provided directly by the SLC, is offered by several other U-M departments and student organizations.  Check out the SLC Tutoring web page or LSA's Tutoring web page for further information.
