Tutoring Resources
Although the SLC does not offer tutoring for science or math classes, a variety of other departments and organizations do. These include the following:
Chemistry Tutoring
Engineering Learning Resource Center - offers a wide range of academic support, including tutoring for Chemistry, Physics, Math and Engineering courses.
Tau Beta Pi, the Engineering honor society offers tutoring for Chemistry, Physics, Math and first-year Engineering classes.
Physics Tutoring

Astronomy Tutoring
Student Astronomical Society - offers tutoring for 100-level Astronomy courses.
Math Tutoring
Spring Term 2013 Free Math Tutors in the SLC
Math tutors are available in the Science Learning Center Alcove #1 every Monday through Friday from 11:00am - 4:00pm (excluding Monday, May 27 for the Memorial Day holiday). Please come in and ask for help if you need it!
Pi Tau Sigma, the Mechanical Engineering honor society sometimes offers tutoring for Physics, Math and Mechanical Engineering classes.
Math Lab - provides tutorial help for students in the introductory Math courses.
Math Tutors List - Each term, the undergraduate program of the Math Department program compiles a list of math tutors who must be contacted individually in order to make arrangements about time, place, and payment.
Society of Physics Students - maintains a list of tutors to connect students in need of assistance with individuals who are willing to provide assistance.

SLC Study Group Facilitator Tutors
Due to overwhelming demand, the SLC is no longer able to forward tutoring requests to our Study Group Facilitators.
We encourage you to pursue the following resources on campus:
- If you are not already a member, you should consider signing up for an SLC Study Group for this course. You can learn more about our Study Group Program.
- Contact your GSI or another GSI for this course to receive extra help during GSI Office Hours.
- Make an appointment with an LSA Advisor for advice on how to improve your study skills and to address other academic issues.
