  My research interests span the sub-fields of family demography, social stratification, and gender. Of particular interest to me are changing gender roles, changing family patterns, economic inequality, and their reciprocal implications. My past research has focused on the economic consequences of divorce and marriage, cohabitation, nonresident fatherhood, child support, remarriage, single mother families, and racial and ethnic differences in family patterns.
