  • About

I'm interested in the relationship between knowledge and politics, especially as it relates to the role of "intellectuals" in movements for social change. As such, I'm currently working on a critical survey of the sociology of intellectuals and the sociology of knowledge.    More broadly, I'm interested in Marxist theory, critical sociology, and French historical epistemology. I'm also fascinated by political conversions, particularly those from left to right.    For my dissertation, I plan to build on these interests and write a comparative study of syndicalist movements in Italy, France, and the US, paying particular attention to their relationships to fascism.
