  Lucie entered the program in 2010, after having graduated with honors in Sociology/Anthropology from Earlham College. She is broadly interested in the study of health disparities, especially in relation to health behavior and health care delivery. She has worked as a research assistant at the National Poverty Center, analyzing the effects of the recent recession on the health of residents of the South East Michigan area.
