    I am a doctoral candidate in the Joint Doctoral Program in Social Work and Sociology. My research interests include stratification and inequality, poverty, cultural sociology, race, social movements, social welfare policies and systems, and qualitative methods.  I am originally from Lincoln, Nebraska and worked for three years as a case manager and grant writer at Lincoln Action Program, a non-profit Community Action Agency, before coming to graduate school.
