  • About

I am broadly interested in the sociology of knowledge and ideas, cultural sociology, and social theory. Specifically, my work concerns issues of knowledge and theory as everyday activities and practices: where is knowledge located and produced? What conceptual and social frameworks bound the production of new knowledge? What is the relationship between everyday experience and knowledge, particularly knowledge and theory produced in academic fields? I also have substantive interests in feminist sociology, online communities (both as object and sites of research), as well as gender and media fandom.
