Internship Opportunities

To assist you in the search for an internship, we have compiled the following reference list of places to search for such opportunities. If you find an internship that you would like to complete for credit toward your sociology concentration requirements, you must prepare an academically relevant plan and have the Sociology Department approve it in advance. For details, click here.

A great place to start your search for an internship is on the section of the U-M Career Center's website called Finding an Internship (this will open a new window).

For a list of organizations that students have participated in for internship credit, click here.

Search Engines

These websites list up-to-date internship opportunities, so the actual availability will vary on any given day. Often, internships are mixed in with regular job postings, so search for the keyword internship when possible.

Internship Programs

The following links are for programs that have perennial (and often competitive) internship programs. Dates, locations, and application deadlines vary.
